Picture it: Brooklyn, 1989, a young girl "cooking" on her apartment's radiator. Using a small aluminum saucepan, she warmed up some juice for tea time with her dolls. And when she wasn't cooking things for her and her dolls, she was playing across the street, in her neighborhood park, dubbed "Linden Park" by locals.

Many summer days were spent climbing and swinging in Linden Park. When it got dark she would go back across the street to help in the kitchen. It was there that the love for baking began. First it was no-bake cheesecakes, then cookies, and eventually cakes. She went on to move away from Brooklyn. Her travels took her to Virginia, Texas, England, California, and finally Washington. Homes changed but her love for baking stayed. It grew so much that she realized it had to be shared...enter Linden Park Whisk.

In winter 2019, after developing a severe gluten intolerance, our baker had to re-formulate her cake recipes to make them as delicious as the gluten-full versions. Success! LPW's gluten-free cakes are delicious (doubt you can tell they are gluten-free!) and baked in a gluten-free cake studio. LPW is located in a Seattle home studio that is licensed, insured, and inspected. Hours are by appointment only.

From birthday to anniversary cakes, and all events in between, check out the cake shop or contact for a custom quote.
